These documents provide a starting point for RV-8 builders to make their own flight manuals and checklists. It is too time-consuming for each builder to start from scratch..
Personally, I prefer a military-style flight manual to keep at home and a small checklist for in-cockpit use. Some people prefer a Cessna-style POH with a checklist condensed from the POH for cockpit use. Either approach works well and there are great examples of both.
I will start by posting my documents. They are a work in progress and will change from time to time. I will post the documents with the "as of" date on the web site. With their permission, I will also post documents from other builders.
I don't care about credit for myself, but, if you use the documents of others, please give credit to them for their work and/or copyright.
My documents are formatted in Word. The flight manual prints on 8.5 x 11 sheets for insertion in a binder. The checklist prints two pages to a sheet so you can fold and staple them to make a compact booklet for cockpit use. You could print it out on both sides of card stock and laminate it to make a more durable checklist. I'm still making occasional changes to mine so I have not yet made a more permanent one.
